Whether you’re a boating enthusiast, an adrenaline junkie, or someone who just enjoys a good race, Perth is the place to be.
Thanks to some of Perth’s local boating clubs including West Australian Speed Boat Club (WASBC), Ocean Racing WA (ORWA) and Club Marine Perth, we have a chockablock calendar to keep you entertained for the remainder of the year.
So get your calendars ready as we show you what to expect in the coming months including, boat races, speed boat joy rides, and boating exhibitions.
Boat racing happening in April
ORWA – Cape Vlamingh Race April 6
Organised by Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club, the event will start in North Cottesloe at 9:55am and will end in South Mole Fremantle at 7pm. Registrations close on Monday April 1st at 6pm sharp. There will be an entry fee of $100.
ORWA – Fremantle to Albany Race April 12 – April 15
Organised by Royal Perth Yacht Club, the event will start at Royal Perth Yacht Club at 10:55am and finish 3 days later at 8am. Registrations close on Wednesday April 3rd at 12pm sharp. There will be an entry fee of $200. Those who wish to participate in this race must register for the 2018/19 ORWA season first before entering this race.
WASBC – Burswood Race Day Round 6, April 28
Organised by WASBC, the round 6 race will begin at 10:30am at Burswood Water Sports Centre and the event will end at 5pm. There will be a full bar and BBQ available. Free entry.

WASBC – WA State Championships May 19
Organised by WASBC, the state championship race will begin at 10:30am at Burswood Water Sports Centre and the event will end at 5pm.There will be a full bar and BBQ available. Free entry.
Boat racing happening in June
WASBC – Burswood Race Day Reserve June 9
Organised by WASBC, the reserve race will begin at 10:30am at Burswood Water Sports Centre and the event will end at 5pm. There will be a full bar and BBQ available. Free entry.
Boat racing happening in September
Club Marine Perth – International Boat Show September 20 – September 22
Presented by Boating Industry Association of WA, the event will take place at the Perth Exhibition Centre and Elizabeth Quay.
Visit 2 exciting stages with the Engel Aquatank Fishing Stage and Everdure Seafood Cooking Stage. Enjoy free activities at Elizabeth Quay and get up close and personal with new release boat displays.
